Over the next few weeks we will begin to organise classes for next year. If you are aware that you will be leaving, please let us know so that we can take your children off the 2016 class lists.
Classroom teachers and deputy principals work together to make recommendations for next year’s classes.
When teachers and deputy principals select classes, they follow the following recommendations:
First priority: The learning needs of the individual student
Second priority: The academic mix of classes
Third priority: The behavioural mix of classes
Fourth Priority: The social cohesiveness (parent requests)
As a parent, you may have a request that you would like to be considered for your child’s class placement for next year. All parent requests for consideration need to be put in writing and addressed to the Principal. Please note that it is not appropriate for parents to request a particular teacher.
Written requests from parents must be received by the principal by Friday 30 October at 3pm.There will be no other submissions accepted after this date.
Your child’s class teacher will be allocated by the end of this year and will be included with Student Reports which will be sent home on Monday 7 December, 2015.
