The students at Morayfield East State School enjoy a whole range of engaging experiences in their music lessons from grade Prep through to grade 6.
A brief look into the music room and you will see and hear (most importantly) keyboards, guitars, African Djembe’s and Ukulele’s among the most favoured instruments the students enjoy experiencing. Lessons are aimed at students with all levels of abilities so that every student enjoys their music interactions, without pressure.
If a student wants to delve deeper into the music experience they can join the school “rock band”, vocal group, and beginner guitar ensemble to scratch that music itch during a lunchtime.
The school has a wonderful hall/performance space and each year hosts either a whole school performance night or fully fledged musical production run by a committed staff. These experiences create life long memories and experiences for the students and Morayfield East State School community.
The Instrumental music program at Morayfield East State School provides specialist teachers in the area of Strings (violin, viola, cello and double bass) and also Woodwind instruments. Our specialist instrumental program runs for grades 3 to 6 in Strings and Instrumental instruments for grades 4-6.
